INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - JET DOCK ROLLER BUOY

Tools Needed

  • Cordless Drill w/ Charged Battery
  • Jet Dock Tool Kit
  • Large Pair of Channel Locks
  • WD-40
  • Socket Wrench
  • Socket Extender

Objective:  Read before you begin installation! By utilizing the existing fastener pin and the corresponding nylon nut which holds each block of your JetDock together, you are going to simply use that existing fastener pin and nylon nut to affix each end of your new Roller-Buoy securely onto the JetDock. Note: Prior to starting the installation, determine the entire distance you want to protect with your Roller-Buoy(s) and lay them out so you can obtain maximum coverage along the outward-facing JetDock docking area.  This will maximize the protection area along the entire side of the JetDock.  National Docks suggests a minimum of four (4) roller buoys for boats larger than twenty feet (20’).

Step-1: Carefully remove the black round fastener pin by using the JetDock tool kit.  The fastener pin goes through each outside joint where the JetDock blocks meet.  Each pin is attached underneath with a nylon nut that threads from the bottom.  Using a drill or a socket wrench, reverse the nut off the pin where you are going to install the first end of your Roller-Buoy. Use caution not to lose the tool or the nylon nut you are loosening!

Step-2: Position the circular hole of the Roller-Buoy above the hole where you removed the fastener pin.  Now re-insert the fastener pin through the Roller-Buoy hole and back into the cube corners and re-tighten the nylon nut to secure. Note: The Roller-Buoy when properly tightened should be perpendicular at a 90-degree angle to the JetDock.

Step-3: Repeat Step-1: for the other end of the Roller-Buoy following the same steps in Step: 2

Step-4: If installed properly the Roller-Buoy should be firmly attached to the JetDock as shown below and is ready for inflation to your desired level.  The Roller-Buoy is designed to roll freely so that when a vessel is docked alongside the JetDock, it is free to have the Roller-Buoy roll up and down the side of the vessel with any boat wake.
